AOL Advertising UK Jumps to Third Place in IPA Spring 2012 Survey

Today the IPA announced that AOL Advertising has jumped to third place overall in the Spring 2012 survey, quite a feat seeing that 24 months ago the business was ranked in fourteenth place. In fact, during that period we rose from fourteenth to sixth to fourth and now third. This great jump can be attributed to a dedicated advertising team that works closely with our agencies and clients to not only understand campaign objectives, but deliver results driven campaigns where the agency is front and center in everything we do.

AOL creates industry first 'Inspired by Iceland' campaign with Promote Iceland

AOL today launched an innovative cross-platform campaign in partnership with Promote Iceland that will span The Huffington Post, MyDaily, AOL Travel and AOL advertising platforms Advertising.com and goviral. AOL makes one hell of an impact at annual Campaign Media awards

The UK marketing team announced the launch of the DareDevil Challenge at the Campaign awards last week, the UK’s biggest awards bash for the advertising creative industry.
The team has partnered with Campaign to deliver an integrated campaign across its events and publication business to ensure Project Devil is front and centre of the industry’s leading creatives. The competition is open to clients, creative agencies and media agencies alike and challenges them to use the Project Devil ad format to create the most compelling and innovative execution they can. The winning entry will be made into an actual Project Devil campaign to the value of £30k and the individual who submitted the ad will receive an iPad2.

AOL UK launches new Project Devil display advertising format with RIM (for the BlackBerry Torch) and M&S.

AOL's MapQuest 'Opens Up' in Europe with Open-Source Mapping

MapQuest, a wholly owned subsidiary of AOL announces plans to be the first large mapping company to embrace open-source mapping at scale. MapQuest is announcing the beta launch of http://open.mapquest.co.uk/ built on OpenStreetMap data for the UK. The beta platform will be a stand-alone offering and will live alongside MapQuest's existing UK platform, which is based on commercially available map data.
